These web ads were created for "The Green Polka Dot Box", an organic foods business located in Orem Utah. On their home page they have large banner style ads to advertise their weekly specials. These were created as options for weekly banner ads.

These are a few of the logos I have created for different media groups.

Brandall Films Logo From 2008

I created this opening for my movies back in 2008. The music is original . I wrote the basic portion and was helped with the rest by local composer Nathaniel Drew. The most impressive thing to me about this is that it was made before I knew After Effects. It was created essentially frame by frame using Photoshop and Premiere.

                       

Zion Theater Company Posters

Zion Theater Company is a growing group that puts on shows in Utah and Salt Lake Counties and has reached up North to Ogden, and as far south as Arizona. It is an exciting group to get involved with because there is always something going on. I was able to design posters for two shows that they put on. The owner of the company, Mahonri Stewart, was very pleased with the final results of both posters.

Promotional Poster

Beauty and the Prince was an original musical getting its debut performance at the Little Brown Theater in Springville Utah. I was asked to create a promotional poster for the show. I was supplied with the photograph of the leading actors, and found a creative commons picture of the castle in the background. Everything else however was of my own design. The pillars, flags, scroll and the overall look and feel. They were very happy with the end result.

Utah Laser Center

Utah Laser Center was a startup business that asked me to create a logo for them. The business was designed around a  new type of laser liposuction.

These are a few screenshots from two different shoots I was working on one weekend. I used a Sony EX camera, which is one of my preferred cameras.

Composer Logo

I created this logo for a local composer, Nathaniel Drew. I am a musician and really loved the bass clef sign integrated into the logo.

A Royal Army Web Banner

This banner was created for "A Royal Army" a social network where outgoing LDS missionaries can get information about where they are headed from returned LDS missionaries who served there. The project is still in the works.

Disney Wedding Title

For a wedding I did in 2011 the couple had met at Disneyworld and had a very fairytale type of romance. So I decided to open their wedding video with an old school Disney style opening. It was a full out animation but here is a still frame. I was able to find the temple in some clip art, and modify it to fit the style of the opening.

Emily and Soren Wedding Announcement

Emily and Soren wanted a unique wedding announcement, one with a postcard feel. They weren't finding what they wanted anywhere. So they came to me and asked me to design one for them. I was able to come out with something they loved, and even added in a few nice touches. The stamp in the upper right hand corner of the backside for instance says the date of the wedding, and that it is sent from Bountiful Utah.

Trailer for "The Hobbit"

In March I directed a play for the Zion theater Company. As part of the marketing I thought I should make some videos that showed off the production since it is a bit unusual. We used puppets for all the fantastical creatures in a Japanese style of puppetry. The production was a success and was a lot of fun to work on.


                   

Photography Examples

Here are two examples of my photography. My wife is a photographer and I go assist her on photo shoots as needed. We frequently will have two cameras going to make sure we get good coverage. These two pictures are personal favorites, both from bridal shoots (although bridals with the groom in them have become more common as I have learned).

Rivendell Background

This was created for the Zion Theater Company production of "The Hobbit." The play was initially intended to have a multimedia approach, and this image was intended to used as the backdrop of Rivendell. It was take from three separate images, one of half of the archway, one of the sky, and one of the waterfall and mountains. It took a lot of work to color correct them all to blend together but the end result came out very nicely.

Psychedlic Fun

I thought it would be fun to experiment with something a little different. Psychedelic designs are not something I am really into so I thought it would be cool to make something of that variety. I learned a ton making this, it was a lot of fun though and I am pleased with the final result.

These links show off one of my designs created for Zoobies Inc. Zoobies were the original pillow pets and I was the designer of their bug line. Saba the Snail was one of my favorite design. Puddles the pig was another design that is currently still being sold that I worked on. The original design for the pig was rejected, they brought it to me and I got it fixed and looking great!

Xpressions! Motion Graphic

This logo was created for the Xpressions! Dance Music Theater group in Arizona. It was created with a little help from Videocopilot, but I really love the way it came out.

                       

About Me

For the last 4 years I have worked as an independent contractor on a ton of awesome projects, but I have been designing for clients for almost 10 years. I love all different aspects of media; from the printed page to motion pictures. I graduated cum laude from Utah Valley University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Digital Media.

This was a great degree for me because it allowed me to pursue fun projects in film, but at the same time gave me critical training in graphic design, marketing, writing and much more. Since graduation I have increased my skill set and software knowledge continually. I use a variety of Adobe software in my workflow including:

Clue Card designs

A small production of clue was looking for a fun way to promote their show. They brought my wife and I on to do photography and promo materials for the show. I created a clue card for each of the leads. They were used as profile pictures, and in other promotional ways. They were a big hit and helped do great promotional work for the show.

Purple Mango Book Cover

I have designed a lot of different packaging for DVD's, playbills etc...but this was the first time I got to design a book cover. It was a fun project with a local poet named Jessie Frank. The book was called Purple Mango.
